Anthony E. Murphy, age 87, born in Buffalo, New York, a resident here 64 years, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; son, Ralph; granddaughter, Dena Gorman; great-grandchildren, Jackson and McKenna Gorman; and special friend, Gail Murphy; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Murphy was the owner of Typewriter Service Co. from January 2, 1940 until his retirement, October 6, 1976. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Church of the Risen Savior, with Rev. Fr. Richard Olona, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Leroy Kelley, Steve Kelley, Robert Redd, Michael Montoya, Carlos Montoya and Robert Hubbard. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
