Damian I. Martinez, 66, died Thursday, December 7, 2000 in Albuquerque following a lengthy illness. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Visitation will resume at 7:30 p.m. this evening at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 8:00 PM this evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11th at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church, with his nephew, Fr. Jerome Martinez as celebrant. Interment with full military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. His family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to cancer research.
