Obituary for Romero

Moises S. Romero, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 23, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Sophie Archibeque and husband, Robert, Virginia Herrera and husband, Ronnie, Dorothy Dow and Pauline Martinez; sons, Moises Jr., and Marty and wife, Mary; also surviving is sister, Lucianita Mejia; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Moises received the Purple Heart during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Post #3; he had a great sense of humor, was an excellent auto mechanic, and enjoyed restoring antique vehicles and raising his cattle. He was an active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Moises Romero Jr., Marty Romero, Robert Archibeque, Ronnie Herrera, Ronald Herrera, and Moises Herrera. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, 9:00 a.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary Santillanes C.F.S.P.
