Obituary for Lucero

Eremita G. Lucero 75, a resident of Alameda, passed away July 9, 2000in a local hospital. She is survived by her children, Julie Lucero, Lucille Lucero, Ray Lucero and wife, MaryAnne, Mary Martha Valencia and husband, Walter, Lorraine Lucero and boyfriend, Johnny Roybal, Lawrence Lucero, and Andy Lucero and wife, Sandra. Eremita was preceded in death by her husband, Eulogio H. Lucero; and son, Richard Lucero. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Catalina Sanchez. Eremita was a school teacher until she married in 1946 and became a housewife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, at 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 12:00 o'clock noon also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan S. Garcia, Ted. S. Garcia, Randolph D. Garcia, Manuel Gonzales, Steve Gutierrez, and Horacio Segura. Honorary Pallbearer will be Johnny Roybal. Friends may visit Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of the Alameda Mortuary. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary Santillanes CFSP.
