Marian S. Hooks, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, died Friday, July 7, 2000. She is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Hooks and wife, Sally of Rockville, MD; daughter-in-law, Dorothy H. Hooks of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Ralph Smith of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major General Daniel E. Hooks; and son, Dr. Lawrence E. Hooks. Services were held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at La Vida Llena Chapel, 10501 Lagrima De Oro NE, with The Very Rev. John B. Haverland, Dean Emeritus officiating. Private interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 4301 Bryn Mawr Drive NE 87107.
