Candelaria (Candy) Lopez, 85, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 22, 2000. Mrs. Lopez was born in Corrales and was a resident of Albuquerque; she was a parishioner of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church; Candy retired from the Santa Fe Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Vincent Griego Jr. She is survived by her loving son, Lee Lopez and Isabel; and daughter, Sandra Griego and husband, Vincent; three precious grandchildren, Mary L. DuChaussee and husband, Roger, Willie Griego, and Ruben Griego and wife, Reyna; eight great-grandchildren, Valarie and Andrew Griego of Los Lunas, Fernando and Kimberly Griego, David and Alexander DuChaussee, Tiffany Oselio and Paul Griego, all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are one brother, Tony Tenerio and wife, Vera; four sisters, Mary Richardson and husband, Billy, Josephine Montoya of Rio Rancho, Barbara Baca and Emily Lucero, both of California; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A very special thanks is extended to the Ruth Hanna Nursing Staff, who took very good care of Mrs. Lopez for the last month. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 3424 4th Street NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ruben Griego, Willie Griego, Roger DuChaussee, Andrew Griego, Fernando Griego and Audillo Tenorio. Honorary bearers will be Lena Chavez, Amos Encinas, Marie Gallegos, Ramona Garcia, Lala Garcia, Rose Griego, Marie Jones, Eileen Kuper, Bertha Morales, Voila McBride, Lupe Montoya, Esther Martinez, Juanita Nowalk, Rose Tapia, Aurora Ortiz, Katie Perez, Dube Rael, Virginia Torrez, Frieda Vasquez, Betty Vanzura, Valerie Griego, Kimberly Griego, Tiffany Oselio, Alexander DuChaussee, David DuChaussee, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sandoval, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Garcia, Mr. and Mrs. Emaliano Padilla, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Gallegos, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Singh and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Martinez.
