Rita S. New, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, February 21, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Henry"Bill" New of Albuquerque; daughter, Rita A. New of Albuquerque; sons, James A. New and wife, Vickie of Bosque Farms and William A. New of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathan New, Sarah New, and Tyler New of Albuquerque; and Anita New and Amy New of Bosque Farms; and sister, Agnes Heasley and husband, George of Greensburg, PA. Mrs. New was a member of Holy Ghost Parish, where she was active in the Rosary Altar Society. She worked as a volunteer Teacher's Aide at Holy Ghost Catholic School. Prayer service will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 24, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, with Father Joe E. Vigil, Celebrant. Interment will take place Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, PA. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, February 23, 2000, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of NM, 525 San Pedro NE, #101, 87108.
