George C. Gensinger, age 66 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died on September 12, 2000. He was born in Rahway, NJ and had been a substitute teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School since retirement from the US Air Force. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by five sons, George Gensinger, Kevin Gensinger and wife, Cheryl, J.R. Gensinger, Larry Gensinger and wife, Darla and Christopher Gensinger, all of Albuquerque; and a granddaughter, Andrea Gensinger. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hawthorne Elementary School, 420 General Somervell NE, Albuquerque, NM 87123, where contributions will be used for school supplies and other needs of the children that meant so much to George.
