Joseph Thurman "J.T." DeBruce, 88, of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, September 11, 2000 at his home. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1998. His home had been in Carlsbad for the past 49 years. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Brookover and husband, Gene of Albuquerque and Vicki Galyon of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Brookover of Albuquerque, Jeffrey Brookover of Albuquerque, David Galyon of Fort Worth, TX and Jason Galyon and wife, Melissa of Annadale, VA; and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Brookover of Albuquerque. Mr. DeBruce was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lee Ella, in 1997. Funeral services were Thursday, September 14, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.
