Angel I. Salazar, 74, died on September 10, 2000 in Albuquerque. He was born in Tucumcari, NM and had lived in the Albuquerque area since 1968. He retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include four children, Stephen Salazar of Chicago, IL, Anita McMillan of Advance, NC, Kanani Caauwe of Chicago, IL and Howard Salazar of Midway, KY; four sisters, Carmen Venegas of El Paso, TX, Delia Carter of Virginia Beach, VA, Rose Reger of Albuquerque, NM and Helen Herget of Kerrville, TX; and two brothers, Ignacio Salazar of Walnut Creek, CA and Crispin Salazar of Freemont, CA. Mr. Salazar is also survived by five grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Jessica, Lisa Marie, and Andrew. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
