Obituary for Walker

Wilbur Walker, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 18 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2000. Wilbur was born on December 13, 1915, the son of Claude and Ida Shields Walker in Torrington, Wyoming. He had been a missionary, doing God's work for 46 years. Wilbur is survived by his wife of 46 years, Luggie Walker of Albuquerque; brother, Lynn Forest Walker of Larned, KS; sister, Georgia Aarestad of Monett, MO; also several nieces and nephews. The Visitaiton will be today, Friday, September 8, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Parlor of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the service on Saturday, September 9, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho. Officiating will be John Wegter and Jim Price. Emtombment will follow in the Floral Garden Mausoleum in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Oliver, Pete Chavez, Paul Chavez, David Rice, Don Rowley, and Albert Lewis. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
