Norbert R. Nowacki, Sr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Monday, September 4, 2000. Mr. Nowacki is survived by his daughters, Sharon Cotman of Concord, OH, Dr. Shirley Thomas and husband Tommy of Longmont, CO and Amy Nowacki Nickell and husband, Mark of Palmdale, CA; son, Norbert Nowacki, Jr. of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Patricia Vamos, Susan Cotman Jenkins, Ronald Cotman, Jr., Al Miller, Hayley Miller, Jeffrey Nowacki, Christopher Nowacki, Matthew Nickell, and Timothy Nickell; great-granddaughter, Kallan Vamos; and sister, Dolores Nowacki of Buffalo, NY. Mr. Nowacki, a gifted musician, taught piano for many years in New York and in Albuquerque, and performed with many ensembles, including the local group"The Lamplighters". A memorial service will be held on Friday, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Rick Donaho officiating.
