Homer C. McGinnis, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1929, died Monday, September 4, 2000. He is survived by his son, Bob McGinnis and wife, Anne of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal V. McGinnis on August 14, 1987; and son, Gerald L. McGinnis in September, 1979; and Home E. McGinnis in January, 1995. Mr. McGinnis was born in Kansas. He was a machinist for ATSF RR for 48 years and he was a lifetime Machinist Union member. Mr. McGinnis was a longtime member of United Pentecostal Church. Services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Michael J. Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
