Homer C. McGinnis, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1929, died Monday, September 4, 2000. He is survived by his son, Bob McGinnis and wife, Anne of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal V. McGinnis on August 14, 1987; and son, Gerald L. McGinnis in September, 1979; and Home E. McGinnis in January, 1995. Mr. McGinnis was born in Kansas. He was a machinist for ATSF RR for 48 years and he was a lifetime Machinist Union member. Mr. McGinnis was a longtime member of United Pentecostal Church. Services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Michael J. Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Heritage Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 91234, 87199.
