Obituary for Ward

Barry Lee Ward, 76, a long time resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 7, 2000, to join the love of his life, Normyan K. Ward, who preceded him in the fall of 1996. He was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on June 18, 1923 and moved to Albuquerque in the late 1940's. He was a Commander of guns in the Air Force in WWII during 1941-1945 in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from the law school at the University of Denver in 1952. He is survived by his sons, Coach Bill Ward and his, wife, Patricia and Henry Ward of California; daughters, DiAnne Thompson, Christina L. Ward-Lechalk, Karen Lee Arfman and her husband, Fred; grandchildren, Calvin Curry, Billy Ray, Sammy, and Michael Ward, Johnny and Jason Thompson, Jake Arfman, Britney and Ashley Yearout all of Albuquerque. He lived life optimistically, he enjoyed life, and to Barry life was a dream. He always knew the sun would come up again tomorrow. Memorial Services for Barry will be held Monday, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
