Obituary for Logan

Edwin R. Logan, 86 of Albuquerque for the past year and former lifelong resident of Lake County, died April 1, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Albuquerque; daughter, Edwina Hambor and husband, James of Albuquerque; son, Patrick Logan and wife, Janna of Tijeras; five grandchildren, Christine Howland and husband, Tracy of Albuquerque, Lisa Hall of Rio Rancho, Shawne Blackburn and husband, Billy, Patrick Logan of Albuquerque, and Jason Logan of Tijeras; four great-grandchildren, Kirsten Sparacino, Raeanna Blackburn, Mackenzie Blackburn and Logan Howland; three sisters, Joyce Hardy and husband, William of Albuquerque, Verda Prentice of Mentor, Ohio, Lora Abel of Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, Walter Logan of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Robert Logan and wife, Patricia Jean of Mentor, Ohio. Preceded in death by five sisters, Arlene Abel, Esther Pfaff, Doris Collacatt, Grace Yaxley, Beatrice Opdyke and one brother, Clifford Logan. Mr. Logan was born June 20, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran where he served as PT Boat Captain in the South Pacific. Mr. Logan was a Lake County Veteran Service Commission Officer for over 30 years and was also a member of the Willoughby VFW and Wickliffe American Legion. He retired from the Wickliffe School System where he taught and coached football from 1954 until his retirement in 1986. Memorial Services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE.
