Obituary for Lucero

John G. Lucero, 83, beloved father and grandfather, was called home Monday, September 25, 2000. Mr. Lucero was born in Las Vegas, NM to the late John G. Sr. and Ella Lucero; he was a resident of Albuquerque; a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church; a member of the St. Vicente de Paul Society and of the Meat Cutters Union. He is survived by his loving daughter, Anna Padilla Morgan of Albuquerque; his precious grandchildren, Lawrence Padilla, Rita Raley, Marie Padilla, Cecilia Padilla, Lorretta Padilla, Yvonne Ulibarri, and Brandy Lucero; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Raley, Antonio, John Paul and Simon Ulibarri, Jason, Justin and Rachel Padilla. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, and those who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be conducted this morning, 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Johnny Chavez, Michael Baker, Joseph Lujan, James Lujan, Ray Valarde and George Baker. Military Honors will be accorded by the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter III. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
