Carolina (Carrie) G. Ortiz, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away at the age of 84, on Monday September 25, 2000. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Causus; three sons, Herman, Eddie, and George Ortiz; and a brother, Max Gonzales of Placitas, NM. Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her loving husband, Arthur M. Ortiz Sr., four sons, Arthur P. Ortiz Jr. and wife, Rose, Ernest Ortiz and wife, Jessie, Albert Ortiz and wife, Sadie, and John Ortiz all of Albuquerque, two daughters, Mary L. Bonillo and husband, Vincent of Belen, and Alice Vigil and husband, Elmer of Helper, Utah. Also surviving are two sisters, Cecilia Gonzales of Placitas, and Lucaria Moya of Albuquerque; a brother, Juan Gonzales and wife, Lala of Albuquerque; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ortiz taught grade school in Placitas, NM, she loved cooking, raising her children, and helping others, she was a member of The Christian Apostolic Church in Placitas, and Albuquerque. She will be truly missed by all. A Funeral Service will be held this morning at 10:00am at The Christian Apostolic Center at 122 Broadway SE, in Albuquerque. Interment will follow at Las Huertas land grant Cemetery in Placitas. Pallbearers will be Anthony Ortiz, Louis Ortiz, John Ortiz Jr., Chris Ortiz, Raymond Moya, and Pat Moya. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Apostolic Church. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th St. NW. Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
