Obituary for Baker

Sidney (Sid) Baker, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Wednesday, September 26, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Baker of Albuquerque; sons, Danny Baker, Vernon Baker, Sidney Baker, Jr.; daughter, Dianne Molina; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother, all of Ohio. Mr. Baker was a US Army Veteran. he worked as a bodyman at various body shops in the Albuquerque area for the past 30 years. Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 28, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Eva Garcia reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 29, 2000, 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Father Domingo Gumpal, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sidney Baker, III, Joseph Baker, Sonny Duran, Richard Flores, Joe Gonzales, George Villas, Danny Baker, Jr., Justin DeCardenas, and Henry Lujan.
