Obituary for Chance

Mildred Chance, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Lavern W. Chance; and two grandsons. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Thomas of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, Doyce Waldrip of Portland, OR, David Waldrip of Beaverton, OR; children, Anthony Wright of Seattle, WA, Greg Chance of Colton, CA, Linda La Grange of Ramona, CA, Belva Eversgerd of Chama, Virginia Eversgerd of Albuquerque, and Mary Davis of Riverside, CA; four step-children, Robert Chance of Charleston, WA, Richard Chance of Los Lunas, Glenda Vernon of Henderson, NV, and Sherry Wiltsie of Bosque Farms; 22 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Mildred was an excellent seamstress. Her creations graced many special occasions and the memories will always be treasured. Mimi was always generous and giving to everyone. Mother will always be in our hearts. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Pastor Gerald White officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE, Saturday, 12:00 noon to time of service. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Manor Care Heights.
