Obituary for Lucero

Mrs. Estella Lucero, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 27, 2000 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Lucero was the beloved wife of 57 years to Mr. Luis Lucero. She is also survived by her daughter, Mrs. Adelia Martinez and husband, Chano; three sisters, Elvira Gonzales, Mary Lucero and Agneda Lucero; one brother, Juan Lucero and wife, Avelina; two grandchildren, Mary Alice Valdez and Anthony Martinez; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Martinez, Nathaniel Valdez and Marisa Valdez; special friend and caregiver, Amidita Contreras; several nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation and Rosary was Friday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. Final visitation will be Saturday morning, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., in the St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred (4th and Mildred) NW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father John Plans. Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allan Sandoval, Anthony Martinez, Brian DeHerrera, Marlo Lucero, Derek Gutierrez and Andrew Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Moises Lucero, Chris Burton, Michael Gutierrez and Richard Valdez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of arrangements.
