Obituary for Trujillo

Allen Dwight Trujillo, 59, a resident of Silver City, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 18, 2000 at the family home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 24, 1940 in Pagosa Springs, CO to Willie and Pauline Gallegos Trujillo. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 22, 2000, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Newman Center Parish followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. with Father Marcos Reyna officiating. After the services the family will leave to take him to be buried by his mother in Pagosa Springs, CO. Allen is survived by his loving wife, Deloris of the family home; two sons, Marc Trujillo of Souix Falls, SD and Christopher Trujillo of Silver City; two daughters, Jill Trujillo of Albuquerque and Heather Trujillo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his father, Willie Trujillo of Pagosa Springs, CO; and a brother, William Trujillo of Chicago, IL. The constant support, visits and prayers from all the friends and acquaintances both her and all over the world during the last 2 1/2 years, the family considers a better measure of his success than his career achievements. He lived his life with faith, hard work, honesty and integrity. A true measure of a good man. He will be missed. Casket bearers will be Edward Acosta, William G. Thomas, James Smith, Robert Barr, Paul Hunter and Everett Davidson. Honorary bearers will be Daniel Bowman, Leo Davidson, John Burk, Lew Hartfog, Jack Hill, Jerry Burnette, Adele Christie, Jerry Wilson, Sharri Thomas, Iru Bray, Don White and F. Randall Gose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the New Mexico Christian's Children's Home, 1356 NM Hwy. 236, Portales, NM 88130-9411.
