Serafin Saiz, 79, passed away February 15, 2000. He was a lifelong resident of Alameda and served in the Army in WWII. He is survived by wife, Nestora Saiz, Gene Saiz, Tom Saiz, Frank Saiz, Anthony Saiz and wife, Diane, Anthony Schubert and wife, Pearl; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucela Toledo, Leonela Garcia; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Nativity Catholic Church with Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17 and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18. Burial will follow at the San Carlos Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 343-8008.
