Tomasita"Tommie" B. Johnson, 82, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, a longtime resident of Jemez Springs and a resident of Albuquerque for four years, died Friday, June 2, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Raymond T. Johnson and wife, Lorraine of Flagstaff, AZ, Melvin L. Johnson Sr. and wife, Virginia of Pleasonton, CA; daughter, Irene Patterson and husband, Johnny of Robertsdale, AL; step-sons, Clarence D. Johnson Jr. and wife, Ann of Calexico, CA, Perry E. Johnson and wife, Toni of Los Altos, CA, Larry Johnson and wife, Lena of El Sobrante, CA; step-daughter, June Cardwell of Chapparell, NM; brothers, Benny Barela and wife, Tillie of Flagstaff, AZ, Willie Barela of Durango, CO; sister, Lucinda Salazar of Camp Verde, AZ; 18 grandchildren and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Douglas Johnson Sr.; brothers, George and Tom Barela; and sisters, Mary Puttman and Marion Ortiz. She managed the Mineral Bathhouse in Jemez Springs for many years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs. Rosary will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs.
