Obituary for Russell

Mrs. Dorothy (Dotty) J. Russell, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 2, 2000 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Russell is survived by her beloved daughter, Laura Barreras and husband, Richard; two sisters, Ella Crabdree and Milagay Leonard; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Russell. Mrs. Russell was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She retired in 1985 after 30 years with N.C. Ribble Co. Dorothy was very active in crochet, knitting and also among other activities. A visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Monday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a Funeral service Monday morning in the Gabaldon Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Paul Gleason, Officiant. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Richard Barreras, Ernie Vallejos, Raymond Sanchez, Brice Evans, Jacob Vallejos, Matthew Vallejos and J.J. Vigil. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
