Obituary for Clement

Robert Edward Clement departed from this life on Thursday, June 1, 2000 at 7:00 a.m. He was born in Stoneham, MA on November 22, 1913, the son of William Charles Clement and Marie White Clement. Mr. Clement is survived by his wife, Jane Clement; daughter, Mary Ellen Fairbanks and husband, John of Sturbridge, MA; sons, David Clement of Alamogordo, Bradford Clement and wife, Terri, and Tomas Clement, all of Albuquerque; and granddaughters, Katie and Hillary Stoll. Mr. Clement served his country in the Army Corp of Engineers from 1942-1945. He was engaged at the Battle of Philippine Islands at Leyta for which he was awarded the Asian-Pacific Ribbon with the Bronze Star. Mr. Clement attended the New York Institute of Photography and became a professional photographer; a career he pursued in Pennsylvania until his retirement to New Mexico in 1977. Graveside services will be held Monday, 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, with Pastor Roger C. Wohletz officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
