Obituary for Garcia

Ruben S. Garcia, 70, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died, Friday, May 26, 2000. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Clorinda A. Garcia of Albuquerque; daughter, Bernice Uszuko and husband, Patrick of Albuquerque; son, Richard L. Garcia and wife, Dawn of Vacaville, CA, son, Ken P. Garcia and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque; and daughter, Anna Marie Garcia and husband, Gerard of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kelly, Anthony, Guinevere, Melinda, Christopher, Melanie, Gerard II, Daniel, Jacquelyn and Desiree; brother, Santos Gonzales and wife, Leonides; sisters, Clorinda Perea and husband, Ben, and Priscilla Walker; and many other family and friends. Mr. Garcia served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Kirtland AFB in Supply, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the AMVETS, serving as District 6 Commander. He was also a member of Risen Savior Catholic Church, Spanish Choir and Knights of Columbus. He was also a defensive driving instructor for AARP. The family would like to thank Lovelace Hospice and Hospital Staff for their care and compassion. Memorial Rosary will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming, NE. Memorial Mass will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming, NE. Private interment of cremains will take place at a later time.
