Obituary for Dawes

Lawrence (Larry) Dawes, 63, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, April 22, 2000. He is survived by his sons, Ronald W. Dawes and wife, Lisa; Richard L. Dawes and wife, Katherine, all of Danville, IN; daughter, Donna McCarty of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald O. Dawes and wife, Marie of Moriarty; Jack L. Young and wife, Pat of Corrales; and sisters, Phyllis I. Warner and husband, John and Shirley M. McNeal, all of Albuquerque. Mr. Dawes was a member of First Baptist Church in Albuquerque. He served in the U.S. Navy for eight years and was owner of All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning until 1996. Services will be held Thursday, April 27, 10:30 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., N.E. with Frank Shope officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Bob Martin, Ollie Allred, Frank Gillreath, Hugh McLean, Jim Bailey, Bob Wilson, and Jeff Brantly. Friends may visit French Mortuary,1111 University Blvd. NE, Wednesday, April 26, 2000, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by French Mortuary,10500 Lomas Blvd., N.E., Albuquerque, NM.
