Beloved and devoted husband, father, zadie, brother and uncle, Walter I. Ettlinger passed away on Friday, April 21, 2000. Born in Frankfurt Au Main, Germany on October 14, 1914. Walter is survived by his wife of 59 years, Stella; his daughter and son, Carol and Larry Hess; granddaughter, Amelia (Amy) Hess; grandson, Matthew Hess and wife, Julia Meredith; sister, Ruth Swift; nieces, Sandy Ettlinger, Batya Swift-Yasgur, Karen Nellist, Valerie Sharfman; and nephews, Steven Bard, Howard Bard and David Ettlinger. We all knew that the doors to his mind and heart were always open to us. He blessed our lives with his love. Graveside Services will be held at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE on Monday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m. with Cantor Shuchat-Marx officiating.
