Verena Vida Doak, age 86, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Monday night. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Doak in 1964. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graduate of UNM, a one time school teacher, and with her husband, the owner/operator of the Pueblo Drug in Espanola. She had been a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Faith, and active with the St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary and other organizations in Santa Fe. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Episcopal Church of the Holy Faith, 311 East Palace Ave., Santa Fe, with the Reverend Dale Coleman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Holy Faith Organ Fund. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of cremation arrangements.
