Obituary for Bustamante

Kenneth G. Bustamante, 40, formerly of Belen and currently residing in Albuquerque, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family in the early morning of the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He graduated from Belen High School in 1978. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1978 through 1987, and after his tour he enlisted in the Army National Guard from 1987 through 1992. Kenneth is survived by his loving children, Heather Bustamante and Kenneth Bustamante, Jr., both of Belen; his parents, Toni Bustamante of Albuquerque and Joe M. Bustamante of Albuquerque; five sisters, Elizabeth Bryan and her husband, Joey of Lubbock, TX, Geraldine Palmer of Los Lunas, Gale Romero of Las Vegas, NV, Eileen Maez and her husband, Gilbert of Los Lunas, Diana Meintzer and her husband, Ed of Albuquerque; two brothers, Joseph Bustamante of Albuquerque and Tommy Bustamante and his wife, Gina of Albuquerque; his loving aunt, Connie Jaynes of Belen; and special family members, Annette Bustamante and her fiance, Leonard Chavez of Belen. He is also survived by several loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and many cousins. The family particularly wishes to thank the staff of Albuquerque Manor for providing kind and compassionate care for Kenneth throughout the past six years. There will be a Rosary on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Zengerly, Leonard Chavez, Joey Bryan, Johnny R. Baca, Jason, Brian and Keven Palmer, Sefe Romero, and Gilbert Maez III. Honorary pallbearers will be Peter Montoya, Delfie Baca, Bill Jaynes and David Zengerly. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main, Belen.
