Giles Tate, 84, passed away Friday, September 15, 2000. he was born in Dimmitt, TX, on January 20, 1916. He is survived by his beloved wife, Una, of 62 years; two sons, Byron Tate and wife, Mary of Tucson, AZ, and Boyce Tate and his wife, Helen of Houston, TX; two daughters, Lorene Brazell and her husband, J.L. of Albuquerque, and Gaynell Eubanks of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Sabrina Strong and husband, Wendell of Des Moines, IA, Judy Brazell of Columbia, SC, Darrell Brazell and wife, Debbie of Lawrence, KS, David Tate of Houston, TX, Dan Eubanks and wife, Ronda of Atlanta, GA, and Kandace Eubanks of Atlanta, GA; three great-grandchildren, Justin Basteen, Gracie Brazell and Riley Tate. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a good friend to many others. He will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends. Services will be held Monday, September 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Montgomery Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd. NE, 87109, with Kevin Owen officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, 87110, on Sunday, September 17, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to plant trees in the Tree of Life Project, Montgomery Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd. NE, 87109.
