Obituary for Englebrecht

Laura Englebrecht, 93, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, May 14, 2000 in Farmington, New Mexico. She is survived by her son, Lloyd H. Englebrecht and his wife, Dorothy of Farmington; three grandchildren, Cindy Crook and husband, Don, Karen Krueger and husband, Bill, Diana Olson and husband, Dick; five great-grandchildren, Lynette and Suzan Crook, Jon Krueger, and Danielle and Nicholas Chamberlain; and several nieces and nephews. Laura Englebrecht was a highly respected local business woman involved in interior decorating business over the years. She was very active in many business, cultural and civic activities. She was a longtime member of the American Business Woman's Association, and supported Salvation Army, Red Cross, The Historical Society, Humane Society of NM, New Mexico Boys Ranch, and the National Federation of the Blind. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Jack Wheat at the Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to any one of her favorite charities named above.
