Obituary for Ehrhart

John Franklin Ehrhart, 21-year resident of Albuquerque and Edgewood, passed away on Sunday, May 14th, at the age of 70. John was born October 25, 1929 just outside of York, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating from William Penn Senior High School in 1947, he joined the Navy as a radioman. One of the many highlights of his 20 years in the military was his involvement in the Gemini and Apollo space programs. He began a second career, with Computer Sciences Corporation, in 1967. While there, he worked on a number of projects involving satellite communications and developed an interest in computers and programming, eventually earning a Masters degree in that area. He founded his own company, Summit Computer Systems, in 1982, specializing in software applications for medical offices. a devoted father and loving husband, he is survived by his wife, Elaine; their four sons, John Jr. of Seattle, Ken and David, both of Albuquerque, Robert of Phoenix; his eight grandchildren; and his brother, Charles"Skip" of York. He will be greatly missed.
