Leo E. DesMarais, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, passed away Monday, May 15, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nina DesMarais of the family home; daughters, LaVerna Kitzinger and husband, David G. of Albuquerque and Irene Olivas of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 16, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home, with David Paul Kitzinger reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 17, 2000, 12:30 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas @ Tennessee NE, with Father Luis Jaramillo, Celebrant.
