Eric Robert Godfrey 36 years old of Albuquerque, NM born in Lubbock, TX, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM on Monday May 8, 2000 from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. He was a graduate of Del Norte High School in 1982. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1986 and was a Sergeant with Department of Corrections since 1993 at the State Corrections Facility in Santa Fe, NM. He is survived by his wife Nicol and daughter Meredith-Ann of the family home; his father Richard E. Godfrey of Jacksboro, TX; mother Diane E. Godrey-Daily of El Paso, TX; brother Craig R. Godfrey of San Angelo, TX; and a multitude of family of friends. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2000 at Cathedral of St. Johns, 3rd and Silver SW, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the charity of choice in memory of Eric R. Godfrey.
