Obituary for Strain

Harold Edward (Ed) Strain, 70, a native of New Mexico, passed away at home on July 20, 2000. Ed lived in many places around the state, raised in Glorieta, resided in Albuquerque, Jemez Springs, Rio Rancho, and finally in Moriarty. He proudly served his country in both the Army and the Navy, and during his career was the recipient of five bronze and two silver stars. He was a member of the Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, and the East Mountain Fellowship Church. Mr. Strain is survived by his wife, Louise; sons, Terry and Lonny Strain, Anthony Strain and his wife, Wendy; brothers, David and his wife, Louise, Clyde and his wife, Ida Mae; sister, Elsie Rodgers; grandchildren, Erick, Andrew, Rebecka and Teresa Strain, Adam, Amiee and Dalton Strain, and Ryan Strain. A Memorial service will be held at the Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, State Rd. 4, Jemez Springs, NM, on Saturday, August 5, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Rd., Santa Fe, NM, Monday, August 7, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Mountain Fellowship Building Fund, PO Box 3603, Edgewood, NM 87015.
