Obituary for Naranjo

Mrs. Gertrude Naranjo, 94, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on March 29, 2000. Mrs. Naranjo is survived by one son, Delfin Naranjo; two daughters, Estella Espinoza and husband, Manuel and Agnes Metzger and husband, Archie; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delfin Naranjo Sr.; a daughter, Margaret Garcia; and a son, Arthur Louis Naranjo. Mrs. Naranjo was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon, 4:00 p.m., at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 1300 Walter NE, with visitation after 3:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, 11:00 a.m., at San Ignacio Church with final visitation at the church after 10:30 a.m. Father Gene Gries, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernie Metzger, Kevin Romero, Budgie Naranjo, Mike Lopez, Rudy Naranjo and Larry Naranjo. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
