Funeral services for Megan Kristen Romero, 26, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. John Withem officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery. Ms. Romero was born October 1, 1973 in Incerlik, Air Force Base, Turkey to Ernesto J. and Sherry (Hagarman) Romero and died Sunday, March 26, 2000 at her residence. She resided in Lufkin for the past five years. Megan was a dedicated employee of Pilgrims Pride and a member of Providence Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sherry and Gene McClung of Lufkin; father and step-mother, Ernesto and Dana Romero of Albuquerque; brother and sister-in-law, Josh and April Romero of Nacogdoches; brother, Sean Romero of Lufkin; paternal grandparents, Julian and Massey Romero of Albuquerque; nephew, Julian Carter Romero of Nacogdoches; numerous aunts and uncles. Ms. Romero was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Catherine Hagarman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
