Ron Griego, age 51, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2000. Ron was a 1966 graduate of Socorro High School. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He graduated from N.M. Highlands University and worked at Los Alamos Labs for ten years as a computer graphics specialist. During the past years he ran his own computer business, GRT Enterprises. Ron is preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Richard, and his mother, Toni Griego. He is survived by his son Matthew of Albuquerque, his father, Robert M. Griego of Socorro; sisters, Helen Hickman of Rancho Cordova, CA; Roberta Garcia and husband Moises of Spring, TX; Francine Wooldridge and husband Milton of Plano, TX; Laurel Armijo and husband, Dan of Socorro; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 26, 2000 at San Miguel Church in Socorro. Ron was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Albuquerque where the memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Socorro upon return to Socorro. Steadman/Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
