Mrs. Della Briones Martinez, age 80, died Saturday, January 29, 2000. Mrs. Martinez was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was also a Eucharistic Minister. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Maldonado and husband, Demecio, Julia Ruiz and husband, Patrick, Josie M. Montoya and husband, Raymond; son, Lawrence Martinez; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tito Briones and wife, Barbara and John Briones. Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Raymond Maldonado, Patrick, Mario and Angelo Ruiz, Ray Cuellar and great-grandson, Diego Gonzales Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mrs. Martinez will be recited on Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements by the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
