Evelyn Morgan Phillips, 76, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Johnson; grandsons, Scott Johnson and wife, Jodie and David Johnson and companion, Anne; granddaughter, Debbie Wommack and husband, Jordy, all of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Walker and husband, Chester of Carlsbad and Irene Chapman and husband, David of Arkansas. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her first husband, Clayton"Cy" Morgan; second husband, Loyd"Bill" Phillips; brother, Ralph Long; and sister, Eleanor Boggs. She was born and raised in Roswell where she graduated from East Grand Plains School. Mrs. Phillips moved to Albuquerque in 1942 and lived here until 1975, most recently lived in Williamsburg, NM. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
