Gregorita (Garry) E. Herrera, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home to be with the Lord Jesus, Thursday, October 5, 2000. Ms. Herrera was born on March 8, 1916 in Chapel, NM to the late Clemente and Manuelita Espinoza; a resident of Albuquerque; a very loving and giving person who loved her family very much. Ms. Herrera was blessed with 11 loving children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis P. Herrera; and a son, Charles (Carlos) Herrera. She is survived by three sons, Manuel Herrera and wife, Linda, Tony Herrera and wife, Marie, Louis Herrera, Jr.; seven daughters, Ruth Pacheco and husband, Sam, Virginia Chavez and husband, Joe, Betty Trujillo and husband, Paul, Ramona Lopez, Darlene Evans and husband, Dan, Joann Herrera, and Mary Ellen Herrera; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Dora (Lola) Olivas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Garry will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who loved and knew her. Visitations will be today, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on 8th and Stover, where a Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Santuario de San Martin, 8321 Camino San Martin SW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Pacheco, Jesse Chavez, Paul Trujillo, Rick Lopez, Danny Evans, Jr. and Michael Pacheco. Honorary bearers will be Johnny Pacheco, Johnny Trujillo, Danny Trujillo, Matthew Pacheco and Ron Herrera. For floral assistance, please call 243-5222.
