Norman Angelo Varela, 37, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away October 1, 2000. Norman is survived by his wife, Kim; daughter, Roxanne; son, Norman, Jr.; parents, Evangeline and Frank Varela; brothers, Frank, Jr. and Ivan; sister, Jackie; seven nieces and six nephews; and many other close relatives and friends. Visitation for Norman will be Thursday, October 5, 2000, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, October 6, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Champion, Albert Varela, Kenneth Sena, Dale Varela, Maury Varela and Ralph Varela.
