Flavio Martinez, 80, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 2, 2000. Mr. Martinez was the beloved husband of 63 years to Mrs. Josie Martinez. He is also survived by his daughter, Phyllis Padilla and husband, Melcor; one son, George Martinez and wife, Josie; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Prayer service will be held Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Albuquerque Evangelistic Center, 1902 Isleta SW and Vito Romero, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. A Funeral service will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the Albuquerque Evangelistic Center, with visitation at the church after 10:00 a.m. Pastor Steve Perez will officiate the Prayer service and the Funeral service. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Padilla, George Martinez, Jr., Gino Gallegos, Frank Gallegos and Adrian Espinosa. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
