Obituary for Jimenez

(Ludy) Deluvina Jimenez, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away October 1, 2000. She was born in Chimayo, NM on July 8, 1933 to Esteban and Cordelia (Trujillo) Martinez. She was a 1951 graduate of Menaul High School, and retired as a secretary from Albuquerque Public Schools in 1994 after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include three daughters, Louella Keenan and her husband, Jake of Las Vegas, NV, Lynnelle Jimenez and Dan Topa of Albuquerque, and Lori Chavez and her husband, Joe of Albuquerque; one son, Mark Jimenez and his fiancee, Jeri Apodaca of Albuquerque; two sisters, Christine Garcia of Albuquerque and Patricia Martinez Huyffer of Los Angeles, CA; and one brother, Aaron Martinez of Los Alamos, NM. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jessica, Janice, Elisa and Sariya. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2000 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 10:00 a.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Eric Martinez, Bill Lopez, Raymond Garcia, Dan Topa, Joe Chavez and Jake Keenan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Central New Mexico Affiliate, P.O. Box 36570, Albuquerque 87176. Ludy was highly respected and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
