Roy Griffis, age 95, and a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000. Mr. Griffis is survived by his three sons, Billie Duane Griffis and his wife, Maggie of Sandia Park, NM, Sammy Loe Griffis and his wife, Sheila of Sandia Park, and Larry R. Griffis and his wife, Ruth of Albuquerque. Also surviving are two brothers, James Harris Griffis of Ft. Collins, CO and Bryan Griffis of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Griffis will be held Thursday, October 5, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Interment will follow in Sunset Park Cemetery. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
