Obituary for Eberting

William Denzil Eberting, 72, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on October 2, 2000. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, March 15, 1928 to Willie Dodson Eberting and Eva Pearl Thompson Eberting. Denzil grew up in Bovina, Texas. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy Air Corps during WWII. He moved to Albuquerque in 1962 and established Dennell Welding in 1981 and was well known in the construction industry. He was a lifetime member of Miami Lodge 805 AF & AM, Chapter 98 Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rites, Ballut Abyad Temple, lifetime member Loco Patrol American Legion Post 13. He lived and practiced the teachings of the Masons. He sponsored Little League Baseball teams for several years. He was preceded in death by his mother when he was nine years old; his father, step-mother, Esther; and brother, Billy Joe. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jaunell S. Eberting; daughter, Shirley Bates and husband, Steve; son, Wm. Darrell Eberting and wife, Rita; sisters, Connie Jean Johnson and husband, Reggie, Patsy Chavez; six grandchildren, Sean and Melissa Escarcida, Chad and Demetria Escarcida, Erick Escarcida and Josie Jaramillo, Andrea Dean, Laura and Julio Candelaria, Wm. David Eberting; 15 great-granchildren; several nieces, nephews; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd. NW, with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2000. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. A Masonic graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sean Escarcida, Chad Escarcida, Eric Escarcida, Julio Candelaria, Teddy Peacock, Zabi Zeyaee. Honorary pallbearer will be David Eberting. A special Thanks to Dr. Curtis Robinson, Dr. Gerald Muraida, Dr. Agarwal, Dr. Fiber, Dr. Purdy and the nursing team at Vista Care Hospice.
