Lydia S. Baars, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died Sunday, October 1, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Warren and husband, Eric of Los Angeles, CA; son, Roland E. Baars and wife, Nora; granddaughter, Toni Baars; grandson, Derek Baars, all of Sterling Heights, MI; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Mrs. Baars was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kurt R. Baars in 1996; three brothers; and one sister. She was a former longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and currently longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado Dr. SE, with Rev. John Heffelfinger officiating. Private disposition will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado Dr. SE 87108 or to the charity of your choice.
