Mrs. Theresita Martinez died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 87. Mrs. Martinez was a member of the Ascension Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Alejandro Martinez and her husband, Monico Martinez. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Monica Enriquez, Encarnacion Brier, Demecia Martinez, Frances Martinez, Melchor Martinez, Victor Martinez, Vicente Martinez, Lucy Sandoval and Teresa Lopez; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Saturday at the Ascension Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Los Padillas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roberto Cardenas Jr., Gregorio Trevino, Roberto Cardenas III, Michael Santillanes, David Chavez and Luis Lopez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Vincent Martinez, Melchor Martinez and Andrew Santillanes. Visitation for Mrs. Martinez will beheld on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening, 7:30 p.m., at the Ascension Church.
