Gloria Sais West, 60, a resident of Belen, peacefully joined our Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, March 15, 2000. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George West in 1979; her father, Leo in 1998; and her brother, Orlando in 1999. She is survived by her loving son, John West of Albuquerque; her mother, Carmen Sais of the family home in Belen; her two sisters, Eileen Nowlin and husband, Ed of Huntsville, AL, Patricia Armendariz and husband, Ruben of Huntington Beach, CA; her three brothers, Lloyd Sais and wife, Lucille, Arturo Sais, all of Belen, and Rey Sais of Ft. Worth, TX; two uncles, Ernest Sais and wife, Ida of Belen and Sesario Castillo and wife, Maria of Springerville, AZ. Gloria is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Roy Storey, Larry Montano, Gilbert Garcia, Gil and Casey Cordova and Albert Sanchez.
